Veelgestelde vragen
Fasting is not strictly required for Lipoprotein(a) and Apolipoprotein B. If combined with a lipid panel, we do recommend fasting.
Lipoprotein(a) is a largely hereditary particle that can raise the risk of cardiovascular disease, independent of your cholesterol. It is usually a one-off measurement.
Apolipoprotein B counts the number of risk-bearing particles rather than only the amount of cholesterol. This can give a finer picture of your risk.
Yes. The Cholesterol panel gives the standard lipid picture; Heart & Vessels Extra adds hereditary and fine-grained risk. Together they form a complete cardiovascular picture.
